ISO 9001:2015

Awarded by Alcumus ISOQUAR, one of the most recognised UKAS approved accreditation bodies, the 9001:2015 certification is the world’s most widely recognised quality management standard which was developed by the International Organisation of Standardisation. It is based on several core, customer focussed principals, including the involvement of high-level management, an efficient, processed-based approach to tasks, and continuous improvement in how a company approaches its responsibilities.

Also awarded by Alcumus, the BS EN 1090, Execution Class 2 certificate demonstrates conformity in Factory Production Control. Steelwork is divided into four categories and the certification obtained demonstrates which level a producer is able to work to. With the Execution Class 2 award, J H Wood are certified up to the Buildings category.

Derek Kinnear, manager at J H Wood said “The standards for these certifications are rigorous and we are delighted as a company to have been successful in meeting them. J H Wood has always been a very customer focussed business, something which these accreditations demonstrate. This is just one of a number of ways we will continue to evolve and rise to the challenges of the engineering industry, and our team are dedicated to provide first-class service in all aspects of what we do.”

J H Wood have been providing a full range of engineering services, including bespoke fabrication and structural steelwork, for nearly eighty years and during that time have gained a stellar reputation in the local and wider areas. With the face of engineering ever changing as new technologies are developed, the company has always kept up-to date with new practices and regulations.

The decision to work towards this ISO accreditation demonstrates the firm’s drive to continually meet customer needs and exceed expectations, as well as cementing their status as one of the most recognised engineering companies in the area.
